About Me
Simone Zocchetti was born in Zürich in 1997 and grew up in the Mendrisiotto region, a land characterized by a strong connection between nature, landscape and human presence. Starting from a very young age, the time spent with his grandfather in the countryside and among the vineyards helped him develop a deep respect for the land, and a love for working in the midst of nature — in turn sparking an interest that over the years has matured and transformed into a professional choice.
His journey in the landscape design and planning sector began in 2013 with his training as a certified Landscape Gardener (AFC) at the Public Green Spaces Department of the City of Mendrisio. Over the following years, thanks to his being perfectly bilingual, he was able to gain extensive professional experience in both Ticino and the German-speaking cantons of Switzerland, working with both public and private entities and acquiring first-hand knowledge of the construction, maintenance, and management of all kinds of green spaces. A career path that to this day has allowed him to gain over twelve years of experience in the field.
This hands-on experience became the foundation for furthering his education at the Oeschberg Higher Specialized School in the Canton of Bern, where in 2025 he earned the SSS/ODEC diploma as a certified Landscape Technician. His diploma dissertation, dedicated to the management of Villa Argentina and the Selva Castanile in Mendrisio, was awarded the school's Innovation Prize.
The studio is affiliated with the professional associations JardinSuisse and ODEC.

Every project starts from an in-depth understanding of the site and of the client's needs and wishes.
A balance between functionality, vegetation, materials and the overall context, from design to realization.
Attention to the principles of sustainability and respect for existing natural elements, in line with the biodiversity of the site.
Every choice takes technical, construction and maintenance aspects into account, for spaces that are functional and durable over time.
